TRAVELING BY CAR

  • Map out your journey: Use your favorite navigation app to plan your route in advance. Keep an eye on real-time traffic alerts, possible road closures, or detours that could affect your arrival time.
  • Get there early: Arriving well before the start of the event gives you a better chance at easier parking, shorter entry lines, and time to soak in the pre-race atmosphere.
  • Follow all signage and staff instructions: Event staff and clearly marked signs will direct you to the appropriate parking lots and venue entrances. Be sure to follow their guidance for a quicker and more organized entry.

General information

Atlanta Motor Speedway sits about 30 miles south of downtown Atlanta, nestled along U.S. Highways 19 and 41 in Hampton, Henry County. For events other than NASCAR race weekends, fans are advised to take Exit 218 from I-75, then head west on GA Highway 20 for approximately 10 miles. Clear directional signs along the way will guide you straight to the Speedway entrance.

Traveling from Atlanta, GA (45 minutes, 30 miles)

  1. Take I-75 S from downtown Atlanta.
  2. Exit at Exit 235 for US-19/41 toward Griffin/Jonesboro.
  3. Follow US-19/41 S for approximately 15 miles.
  4. Turn left onto Tara Place and follow signs to Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Traveling from Macon, GA (1 hour, 55 miles)

  1. Take I-75 N toward Atlanta.
  2. Exit at Exit 205 for GA-16 W toward Griffin.
  3. Continue on GA-16 W for about 10 miles, then turn right onto US-19/41 N.
  4. Follow US-19/41 N for 7 miles, then turn right onto Tara Place to reach the Speedway.

Traveling from Columbus, GA (1.5 hours, 85 miles)

  1. Take I-185 N toward Atlanta.
  2. Merge onto I-85 N, then take Exit 41 for US-27 ALT N/US-29 N/GA-16 toward Newnan.
  3. Continue on GA-16 E through Senoia and Griffin.
  4. Turn left onto US-19/41 N, then right onto Tara Place to reach Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Traveling from Birmingham, AL (2.5 hours, 160 miles)

  1. Take I-20 E toward Atlanta.
  2. Merge onto I-285 S and continue to I-75 S.
  3. Exit at Exit 235 for US-19/41 S.
  4. Continue for 15 miles, then turn left onto Tara Place to enter the Speedway area.
