ABOUT ATLANTA MOTOR SPEEDWAY

Atlanta Motor Speedway, originally known as Atlanta International Raceway, is a major racing facility located in Hampton, Georgia, just south of Atlanta. Opened in 1960, it quickly became a key venue for American motorsports, especially NASCAR events.

The main track is a 1.54-mile quad-oval known for its high-speed racing and steep 28-degree banking in the turns. In 1997, the speedway underwent a major redesign, transforming from a standard oval into its current configuration. More recently, in 2021, it was repaved and re-profiled to further enhance racing action, making it one of the fastest tracks on the NASCAR calendar.

Atlanta Motor Speedway is more than just a racetrack. Spread over 850 acres, it includes multiple configurations such as a 1/4 mile oval, a road course, and infield spaces used for events and fan activities. It regularly hosts top-tier NASCAR races, including the Ambetter Health 400, and is also available for track rentals and driving experiences.
